Boy, 7, Dies Of Lockjaw
John Edward Allen, 7, son of Mrs. George Wettenkamp, Route 1, Manitowoc, died
yesterday at the Holy Family hospital of lockjaw. While at play about the home a
week ago Tuesday the boy stepped on a nail. Infection set in and lockjaw
developed.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m., from the Wattawa, Urbanek
and Schlei funeral home and at 9 o'clock from the Sacred Heart church. Burial
will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The boy was born in 1929 and attended the district school near his home.
Survivors are the mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. George Wettenkamp; two
brothers Adrian and Matthew; five sisters, Virginia, Byrdeva, Rose Marie and
Carrie.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
