Mrs. Edward Allen, 63, of 1514 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died early Friday at the
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Reformed Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. A.C. Fischer will officiate and interment will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Allen was born Gertrude Granzo in Germany in 1889 and when a child
accompanied her parents to Manitowoc.
In 1909 she was married to Mr. Allen. He died in 1936.
She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the First Reformed congregations
and the WBA Pioneers Club.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Strouf of Manitowoc; two sons, George of
Milwaukee, and Clarence of Manitowoc; three brothers, Max, Fred and Otto of
Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Post of Manitowoc and Mrs. Howard Bromwell
of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after Sunday
noon. The casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Monday.
