GEORGE C. ALLEN (d. 1956)

George C. Allen, 45, native of Manitowoc, died unexpectedly of a heart attack
Monday evening at Bradentown, Fla., where he was with a group of Milwaukee
people who had gone south to watch the Milwaukee Braves baseball team during
training.
Allen, who lived at 3761 N. 28th St., Milwaukee, had accompanied the group on
the special tour which left Milwaukee March 11.
Funeral services for the A. O. Smith machinist will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. A. C.
Fischer will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Allen was born Dec. 2, 1910, son of the late Edmund and Gertrude Greason?
Allen, and lived in Manitowoc until 1939 when he moved to Milwaukee where he
was a member of the Royal Order of Moose and a machinists local. He also was
a member of the Manitowoc Memorial Hospital Corp.
He is survived by a brother, Clarence, and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Strouf, of
Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
