EDWARD ALLEN

EDWARD ALLEN, 52, SUCCUMBS

Edward F. Allen, 52, 1514 Waldo Boulevard, died Thursday night at 10:30 at the
state hospital, following a lengthy illness with heart trouble.

Funeral services will be held Monday at two o'clock from the Frazier Funeral
home, the Rev. Gilbert Wernecke officiating. Burial will be made in the
Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Allen was born in Menasha on October 26, 1884. He came to Manitowoc in 1895.


On May 25, 1910 he was married to Miss Gertrude Granzow, who survives.

Mr. Allen was employed here as a pipe fitter.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mary and two sons, George and Clarence,
all of this city; a brother, Charles of Manitowoc; and a sister, Mrs. E.W.
Pettingill, Neenah.

The body will lie at the Frazier funeral home until the time of the services
Monday.

FOR TREATMENT TO THE HONORABLE CHAIRMAN AND BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MANITOWOC
COUNTY, WISCONSIN

Gentlemen:
In accordance with the duties which are provided for in the Statutes, I beg
leave to submit my report of all proceedings and hearings relative to patients
committed to the Wisconsin General Hospital for treatment since the filing of my
last report up to and including January 1, 1937.

Edward Allen, resident of the City of Manitowoc. Committed to Wisconsin General
Hospital on the 11th day of January, 1936. Examining physician, Dr. R.G. Strong.
(Note: They sent seriously ill people here to be treated. The hospital was in
Madison.)
