Rueben Alfredson, 47, of 1?1? (distorted) Manitowoc, ??? ??? Monday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John Evangelical and
Reformed Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating. Burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Alfredson was born at Norway, Mich., June 4, 1910, son of Carl and Anna
Anderson Alfredson. He married Irene Tegge at Manitowoc Sept. 6, 1930. He
had been employed by Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., until ill health caused him
to retire. Mr. Alfredson was a member of Local 443 Boilermakers Union.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, (private); parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Alfredson of Volcan, Mich., two brothers, Law??? (distorted line) Vulcan,
Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Dewey Newton and Mrs. Martin Meyer of Manitowoc
and Mrs. Holger Anderson of Port Washington and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m.
Wednesday until 10:30 a.m. Thursday when the casket will be moved to the
church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
