Services held for Mary Leonard

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary V. Leonard, 81, Dayton were held Monday, June 30. Rev. William Cotton conducted the 1:30 p.m. services at the Dayton United Methodist Church. Interment was at the Dayton Cemetery. Arrangements were completed by the Carson Funeral Home, Dayton.

Mrs. Leonard passed away early Thursday, June 26, at Trinity West Hospital, Fort Dodge.

Mrs. Everett Swanson sang at the funeral accompanied by Leona Benson. Mrs. Robert McIlvain and Mrs. Mildred Vegors cared for the flowers. Pall bearers were Richard Abrahamson, Jay Carlson, George Wahl, Robert Hansen, Tom Blair and Doug Hansen.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alice Young, Dayton; two grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Gred Wahl, Boone.

Mary Carlson was born at Pilot Mound and attended the schools there. In 1916, she married Roscoe Leonard and they lived their entire married life in Dayton. Mr. Leonard died May 10, 1975.

She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star and a lifetime member of the W.S.C.S.
