Helen Ruffin, of Joshua TX, passed away at home on June 12, 2020.

Helen was born December 18, 1926 to Jimmie (Sal) and Luther Alvin Teeter.

She had a long and happy life. She loved everybody and was always doing things for other people. She liked to act silly and have fun and her life was filled with joy. She always had a smile on her face. She loved God. Her church family was always a big part of her life. She loved animals, her pets were very much a part of her family.

Helen was married for 50 years to Raymond “Shorty” Ruffin, who preceded her in death. Late in life she married Bill Gibson, who was with her five years before his passing. The last year she lived with her daughter Teresa and husband Jim and had family around her all the time, which she considered a great blessing.

Helen enjoyed sewing, crafts, games, and camping with family in years past. She was a hairstylist/cosmetologist, she worked as an electronic assembler, at dry cleaners providing alterations and customer service, and was a homemaker. She worked, but her family was always her highest priority. Nobody could ask for a better mother or grandmother.

Helen is survived by her children, Teresa Boisjolie and husband Jim of Joshua TX, Regina Kirscht and husband Austin of Joshua TX; grandchildren and their families, Robert Boisjolie and daughter Brenna, Sandra Boisjolie and son Allen, Barrett and Paige Kirscht, Scott and Cindy Kirscht and son Rocky, Michael and Melissa Kirscht, David Kirscht and son Daniel, and Danny Kirscht; and many nieces, nephews, close friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ruffin; her husband, Bill Gibson; her parents, Jimmie and Alvin Teeter; her sister, Winnell Miller; and her brother, Theodore Teeter.

Services for Helen are planned for Friday, June 19th, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Colleyville, TX, Visitation at 11:30am, Funeral Service at 12:30pm, followed by Interment at 1:30pm.
