Polk Abbott is dead. He was stricken
with appoplexy at his home, corner of
Mechanic and Washington street, yesterday
and rapidly developed alarming
symptoms. Physicians were called
and did what they could to relieve
him, but he was beyond human aid.
He died at 2:45 o'clock this morning.
Deceased had been a resident of the
county for many years and had a wide
acquaintance. He was well liked by
everybody.
