Harold Austin "Butch" Baker, 81, of Lancaster died Nov. 1, 2003 in Dallas County, Texas. Harold was born May 29, 1922 in Hill County, Texas and the son of Ira Milton and Bertha Evelena (Ward) Baker. He was known to many as "Butch". On January 31, 1942 he married Mable Biggs in Hill County. They had 2 sons, Harold Ray Baker and Dennis Don Baker. They divorced and he married Belle Irene Waller. They had a son, James Herman Baker, born Feb. 20, 1954.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Belle Irene in July 23, 2002, his son Dennis Don Baker in June 3, 1971 who was killed in a car accident in Tyler, Smith County, Texas, and his younger brothers Clarence Milton Baker in June 18, 1986, Lynn Baker in July 28, 1932, Joseph Baker in July 9, 1944 and 3 Infant boy brothers (no dates available).

Survivors include: his sons Harold Ray Baker, James Herman Baker, and his sister Margaret Belle Waller.

Harold Austin and his wife Belle Irene were cremated. Their remains rest in a family burial plot marked by a plaque in the Blum Cemetery in Blum, Hill County, Texas.
