Louis Linford Batsford, 23, of Genoa, died at 3 o'clock Saturday morning in Genoa hospital after several days illness of pneumonia. He was employed in that village as a mechanic at the garage of Roy Fritts.

Born in Borodino, November 25, 1911, he had passed most of his life in Moravia and attended Moravia school. Five years ago he went to Genoa.

He leaves his wife, Genevieve Clark Batsford; one son, Millard; one sister, Mrs. Roy Morris, Auburn, R.D. and his father, Frank Batsford, Moravia barber.

Services were held Monday at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 o'clock in Genoa Baptist Church Rev. C. G. Langford of Moravia officiated. Burial was at McLean.
