The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, Tuesday, November 3, 1981:
"J. Raymond McGreevy-Funeral services were conducted this morning at the Fredlock Funeral Home Piedmont, for James Raymond (Ray) McGreevy, 54, of 117 East Hampshire St., Piedmont, (who) was found dead at his residence Saturday evening of an apparent heart attack. The Rev. Leo Tittler officiated and burial was in St. Peter's cemetery, Westernport. A native of Piedmont, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Eva (LaRue) McGreevy. Mr. McGreevy was employed in the Maintenance Department at Westvaco's Like Mill. He was an Army veteran and member of Victory Post 155 American Legion, Westernport, Queens Point 6775, Veterans of Foreign Wars, McCoole and Luke Local 676 UPIU. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn (Deter) McGreevy, three sons, James R. McGreevy, Jr., of Piedmont, David M. McGreevy of Greenwood, Miss., and Daniel P. McGreevy, of Keyser, four daughters, Mrs. Sandra A. Campbell of Greenwood and Mrs. Katherine A. Price, Tara A. McGreevy and Ann M. McGreevy, all of Keyser, five brothers, Joseph McGreevy, of Frostburg, Harold McGreevy, of Barton, and Robert McGreevy of Sulphur, La., Stuart McGreevy, of Piedmont and Russell McGreevy of Manassas Park, Va., and one sister, Mrs. Lois Schwinabart of Dunn Loring, Va."
