Albert H. Christy Sr., 101-15th st., Reynolds Area of Pymutuning Township, was pronounced dead on arrival at Hillcrest Facility of United Community Hospital, Grove City, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday(8-31-80) after suffering a heart attack while camping. He was 52. Mr. Christy was born in Grove City Nov. 5, 1927, to Elmer E. and Clara M. Weston Christy. He was employed at Sharon Steel Corp. before taking disability retirement in 1972. For several months he had been a motor route Herald carrier. During World War II, he served in the Army. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Transfer; Reynolds Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and Transfer Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his Wife, the Former Thelma I. Duffy, Whom he married April 8, 1950; eight daughters, Mrs. Donald (Sandy) Frum, East Palestine, Ohio; Mrs. Herbert (Linda) Hicklin, Sharpsville; Mrs. Micheal (Diana) Hughes, Fort Bragg, N.C.; Janet, Sharon; Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce)Graban, Hubbard; Mrs. William(Karen) Zeigler, West Middlesex; Mrs. Rodney(Cindy) Mollard, Hermitage, and Marylin at home; Three sons, Albert H. Christy Jr., Alvin and Thomas, all at home; his mother of Grove City; Three sisters, Mrs. William (Mary) Tipton, Sandy Lake; Mrs Charles (Annebelle) Horsman, Grove City, and Mrs. Clara Rebecca Donaldson, Sharpsville; two brothers Harry A., Greenville, and Elmer E., Sharon RD, and nine grandchildren. His father died in 1953. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, a son and a sister.
