Frances M. (Shuster) Schrecengost, 85, of Kittanning (Blanket Hill), died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

The daughter of Guy and Alice (Hobaugh) Shuster Templeton, she was born Oct. 3, 1918, in Manor Township.

Mrs. Schrecengost was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Rupp, and she was a wife and mother. She enjoyed her family, shopping, flowers, eating out and collecting antiques.

Surviving are a son, John R. Schrecengost, of Kittanning RD 1; two daughters: Mary Alice Mattax of Kittanning and Jane Baum of Rochester Hills, Mich .; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell H. Schrecengost, who died Oct. 13, 1986; two sons: Clair R. Schrecengost, who died May 24, 2000, and B. Grant Schrecengost, who died April 26, 2001 and a sister, Nellie I. Sheasley, who died July 12, 1998.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pan. Wednesday at the Snyder Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at I p.m. with the Reverends David Croyle and Bill Schaefer officiating. Interment will be made in Rupp Cemetery.
