BAUGHMAN - After suffering from a complication of troubles for several months Mrs. John K. Baughman died at her home in the West End at a late hour Saturday night and was buried in Buffalo Springs Cemetery at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, after appropriate services at the grave by Rev. J. W. Hagin. Mrs. Baughman was a daughter of the late Jones Adams, of Garrard, and was 48 years old. She joined the Christian church when a mere girl and had been a faithful follower of the meek and lowly Nazarine since. If what her neighbors and others who knew her well say is half true she must have been one of the best women who ever lived in the county. Worshipped by husband and children, Mrs. Baughman was never happier than when at home with them and her home was one where relatives and friends loved to gather, for her very presence made them feel the better. Possessed of a disposition that was sunshine itself she made those about her feel that their burdens of life were lighter and many a heavy heart has been cheered by her kind words and acts. She was a model wife and mother and her loss will be felt not only in the home circle, but in the entire community which she lived. May the husband, sons and daughters, who are crushed by her taking away, soon realize that their loss is her eternal gain and, emulating Godly life strive to meet her in the land that is fairer than day. Much sympathy is felt here for Mr. Baughman and his family and the older inhabitants can not recall a burial where there was evidence of more genuine sorrow. Flowers in profusion covered the grave and eyes unused to weeping dropped a tear as the good woman was being lowered to her final resting place.
