Alice Kerns Bosserman, 93, of Weyers Cave, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at the Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.
Mrs. Bosserman was born Jan. 31, 1913, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late William Stover and Hazel Pulse Kerns.
She was a nurse at King's Daughters' Hospital in Staunton from 1949 until retiring in 1978. She was a member of the DAR, the UDC and the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
On May 25, 1936, she married James C. "Cass" Bosserman, who preceded her in death June 28, 1995.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Patterson of Potomac, Md.; two sisters, Ruth Clatterbuck of Harrisonburg, and Frances Hoskins of Florida; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pastor Christopher D. Carr will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Thursday at the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Weyers Cave.
