Adam Huey Chaumont, age 84 of Liberty, passed away in Beaumont, TX on July 18, 2012. Huey was born on November 10, 1927 in Oberlin, La, son of Joseph and Beatrice Miller Chaumont. Huey attended Eunice High School in Eunice, LA and moved to Liberty in 1962 where he started Chaumont's Shoe Store. He owned and operated Chaumont's Shoe Store and the Gold Nugget for fifty-two years before retiring. Huey enjoyed gardening and traveling in their motor home.
Huey was preceded in death by his parents, son: David Chaumont four sisters and five brothers. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of sixty-four years; Bertha Chaumont, granddaughters; Kayla Chaumont of Liberty, Kristin Chaumont of Austin, and one sister; Agnes McGee of Louisiana.
