Alice Jeanette Van Ness of the Wash, DC branch of the Van Ness family was born to our Father Edwin Eugene Van ness & his first wife Elizabeth Jeanette Godfrey Van Ness which was (told by the family) the sister to Movie Actor Arthur Godfery. Alice was married six or seven times I can't remember them all. One time she went to Los Vegas got divorced & then got married. She was married to a man named Whity, another named Doyal, a man that was named Childress & a man named Bruce Pankey of Denton Texas was her last husband. She traveled extensively from coast to coast. Alice lived in Fort Smith Arkansas for several years. She collected Owls. Alice was my oldest sister from my fathers first marraige and I loved her very much.
