AGED RESIDENT DIED SUDDENLY
David Simeon Burton, 82, died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday morning while standing near Chick's Garage on the highway in downtown Bandon.
Since last June, he had been living at the Tanglewood Rest Home and that morning was brought to town by Henry Hohman for the purpose of looking after his cabin, located opposite the Port of Bandon dock. He had walked back to the highway and was awaiting Hohman's return when he collapsed.
Deceased was born June 7, 1872, on the Salmon River near Otis, Oregon, and lived in the Bandon area since 1935, coming here from Curry County, where he had been active for a number of years as a varmint hunter and trainer of hunting dogs.
Funeral services awaiting the arrival of relatives, were tentatively set for Thursday (today) at 2:00 PM, with interment at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
