George Dennis Stoffel, 23, of R.R. 5, Springfield died Tuesday in an airplane accident near Salem.
Born in Springfield, Mr. Stoffel was the son of George and Elna Handley Stoffel. He was a graduate of Lanphier High School and Lincoln Land Community College and attended Sangamon State Unversity. He was a aerial photographer for American Airview. He was a member and Sunday school teacher at Central Baptist Church and was also a member of the International Guard.
Surviving are his parents, one sister, Mrs. Carol Barlick of San Jose, Calif; grandparents Mr and Mrs George L Stoffel of Springfield; one niece Terry Lynn Barlick of San Jose, Calif; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
