Reverend Hubert Birge, age 92, of Bonifay, Florida, died April 29, 2006, at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, Florida. He was the son of Thomas and Cecelia Birge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Lou Ellis Birge; two sons, Nathan Birge and Delane Birge; two brothers, Henry Birge and Carl Birge; and seven sisters, Sarah Barnes, Dixie Spivey, Cora Hinson, Lonie Hinson, Alma Payne, Stella Tillman and Hattie Smit

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wilkie and Pat Birge of Bonifay, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Bob Pate of Panama City, Florida; two sisters, Esper Smith of Newport News, Virginia, and Carmi Adams of Wewahitchka, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: May 2, 2006, at First United Pentecostal Holiness Church in Westville with Reverends Allen Crabtree, C. Patton Williams, and Jason Campbell officiating.

Burial: in Caryville City Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay, Florida, directing.
