"Clifford Lewis Walton was a newspaper man. He was owner and editor of "The LaFayette Sun", a Chambers County newspaper. He served in World War I. He was a graduate of Birmingham Southern. He was the narrator and did much of the research on the Walton family of Chambers County. His research was passed along to his relative, Alex Walton, who also has researched the family in his spare time. Clifford L. Walton believed this was a 'work-in-progress'. All members of this family were invited to add their updates, changes or corrections. He added, hopefully - all who obtain a copy of this will cherish their Walton Heritage."
Clifford Lewis Walton married (1) Carrie Lee Akin June 4, 1919, in Dadeville. She was born in Dadeville, Tallapoosa County, Alabama and died there on November 22, 1932. In 1934, Clifford married (2) Nell Ernestine Wells.
