"The Girls," - Dollie, Roxie and Ollie never married. They continued to live together in the house built by their father along with their brother, Charles. When I became interested in family history in the mid 1970's they patiently endured repeated questions and requests to see all the old family photos and documents on every single visit I made from SC back to AL. A visit with "the Girls" was always included on trips "home" by almost everyone who moved away. Summer visits were mostly on the back porch usually eating watermelon from the surrounding fields and cool water dipped from the well right on the porch. There was always ample seating for the car loads of guests.
