John Tomlinson Lloyd, 82, 675 E. 7th South, Salt Lake business and mining man, died Sunday at 2:35 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of causes incident to his age.

Born in Birmingham, England, Oct. 6, 1865, he was a son of John and Elizabeth Tomlinson Lloyd. He came to New York City with his parents while he was a child, and after a few years he moved to Salt Lake City where he has resided since.

Mr. Lloyd was educated in Salt Lake schools and the Collegiate Institute. He was in the shoe business for many years and was well known in local mining circles. He was part owner, in several mines in Utah, Nevada and Montana, and these occupied him until his retirement a few years ago.

He married Nellie McLellan in Salt Lake City, June 27, 1890. She died June 27, 1914.

He is survived by two sons, Stephen M. and Burns M. Lloyd, Salt Lake City; two daughters, Nanon and Helen Lloyd, Los Angeles; a brother, Walter T. Lloyd, Salt Lake City; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Platt, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Victoria Dodge, Alameda, Cal., and Mrs. Louise Day, Tacoma, Wash.
