Elizabeth Marine "Nanny" Hayes of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ben F. Foley and Lola Withers Foley, was born in Casey County, Kentucky, September 27, 1934. She died at 12:35 A.M., Sunday, July 15, 2012, in Lexington. Age: 77
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church where she served in the nursery for several years.
Many young adults and younger children were touched by her loving care and fondly called her "Nanny".
She worked several years at Fruit of the Loom and was co-owner with her husband at Buel C. Hayes Printing Company in Campbellsville. She later started a child care service from which she took care of two generations of children.
She united in marriage to Buel Hayes August 3, 1951.
Besides her husband, Buel Hayes, she is survived by one daughter and two sons: Renee Martin and husband, Craig of Lexington, Charles David Hayes and wife, Donna and Robert "Bobby" Hayes and wife, Karen of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Shannon Lyman, Lauren Poullos and husband, Rob and Dana Hayes Fuller and husband, Ches of Lexington, Drew Hayes, Josh Hayes, Jordan Hayes and Jade Hayes of Campbellsville; eight great-grandchildren: Alec Lyman, Mason Lyman, Trenton Poullos, Giana Poullos, Clara Grace Fuller and Eli Chesley Fuller of Lexington, Brianna Hayes of Campbellsville and Jacob Hayes of Summersville; one brother, Dalon Foley and wife, Jenny of Cincinnati, Ohio; her special little angel, Toby; a large number of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diana Kay Hayes; three brothers and one sister: Olas Foley, Charles Foley, Richard Foley and Margaret "Emma" Hayes; two half-brothers: Wayne Foley and Vance Foley; two half-sisters: Esther McNeilus and Evelyn Dyer.
