Bobby Wilkinson

Bobby G. Wilkinson,66, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Feb 17,2001, at his home.

He was born Sept 30,1934, in Cape Girardeau, son of Elba Marion and Daisy Victoria Dorsey Wilkinson. He and Doris Jean Wilkinson were married April 28,1956 in Cape Girardeau.
Wilkinson worked for Missouri Utilities Co. as an electrician for 23 years. He retired in 1980.

He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 3838 and American Legion Post 63. He also was a member of the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors wife; two sons, Steve Wilkinson and Bobby Wilkinson, both of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Gayle Friedrich of Jackson, MO, and Lisa Glency of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Glen T. "Doc" Wilkinson of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Betty Maxine O'Howell of San Bernardino, CA, Mildred Tapley of East Cape Girardeau, IL, Carolyn Green of Lafayette, LA, and Winnis Givens and Brenda Bowman, both of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 10-11am Tuesday at Tuesday at the chapel. Clayton Smith will officiate, with entombment in Memorial Park. Military rites rites will be conducted at the mausoleum by VFW Post 3838.
