He was a son of the late Cassius and Ina Coomer Coffey and was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters, Ural, Garon, Earl, William Edgar and Elroy Coffey, Margie Corbin, Avis Coffey.
He was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church for 56 years where he served as Treasurer for 33 years. He was a farmer and livestock dealer
Survivors include, his wife of 56 years, Margie Burris Coffey of Columbia one brother and two sisters, Clavis Coffey, Pearl Bennett and Charity Edwards all of Columbia;
several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Coffey and Bro. Carl Edwards officiating.
Burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation after 3:30 P.M. Thursday
