Son of Rev. Richard Andrew Skelton & Margaret E. (Higgins) Skelton.
Married Jennie Margaret 'Jane' Wilson, 18 Oct 1914, by the groom's father, Rev. Richard Skelton.
Parents of one child.
He was tall, slender, with gray eyes & brown hair.
Clarence was a barber, and at one time owned a barber shop in Nashville, which was frequented by Gov. Austin Peay.
Per his obituary, he died at the Tennessee State Hospital in Nashville, just a few months prior to his mother's death.
His funeral was held at the Methodist Church in Hohenwald, with burial in the Swiss Cemetery, although no marker has been found for him. The funeral director was Middle State Tennessee Funeral Home (now Shackleford),Waynesboro, TN, which was the same one who handled his father's burial, in 1951.

Note: Clarence died in Central State Hospital, in Nashville, TN, after a lengthy illness. At the time of his death, he was still married to his wife of 42 years, Jennie Margaret Wilson Skelton, (1894-1977), who remained loyal and supportive of him during all the difficult years prior to his death.
