Known most of his life as Dee, he was youngest son of Henry and Ada Beavers, was raised in East Texas, and Bossier City Louisiana. Born on his Aunt Mollie Cole Wilcox land, the family remained there until Henry went to work for the Louisiana Highway department.
Sometime in the 50's Dee followed Billy his brother to Houston. Dee worked as a machinist. He was an avid bowler.
After he married Emma the two of them on the weekends would run a fruit stand at the flee market off the Southwest Freeway in Houston.
He had no children of his own, but when he married Emily he gained an instant family. Emily had two children from previous marriage.
In 2005 My uncle called me to inform me that the end was near. He needed me to locate family members that we had lost track of. He passed away right before Christmas of cancer.
