Irene Blakeman Bishop of Hopkinsville, formerly of Greensburg, daughter of the late Herbert Blakeman and Lena Pearl Bagby Blakeman, was born on Thursday, April 10, 1930 in Adair County, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the Western State Nursing Facility. She was 89 years, 6 months, and 17 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a niece and four nephews: Ernestine Milby, James Blakeman both of Greensburg, Billy Blakeman of Campbellsville, William Lewis Bloyd of Greensburg, and Donald Wayne Powell of Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and five sisters: William Blakeman, Pauline Calhoun, Lorene Blakeman, Magdalene Powell, Lena Blakeman, and Mary P. Coffey.
