CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Mamie Ruth Ham Elliott, 7 Feb 2004

Mrs. Mamie Ruth Ham Elliott, 81, formerly of Siam Community, Elizabethton, died Saturday, Februay 7, 2004 in the Takoma Adventist
Hospital, Greeneville, following a brief illness.
She was a native of Lansing, N.C. and had lived in the Siam Community since 1943.
She was a daughter of the late David V. and Dema Calhoun Ham. She
retired from Tennessee Plastics, Inc., in 1982.
She was a member of Siam Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Elliott in 1982, and
by three sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jackie and Althea
Elliott, of Onalaska, Texas; two grandchildren, Kim Street and her
husband Brad, of Coldspring, Texas; Edward Elliott and his wife, Brenda,
of Katy Texas; four great-grandchildren, Casey and Savannah Street,
Coldspring, Texas; Sarah Elliott and Emma Elliott, both of Katy, Texas;
two foster children, Marvin Elliott, Elizabethton and Ruby Nave, of Port
Orange, Fla., and special Friends, Roy and Melba Fleming, Elizabethton,
and Dan and Wilma Crowe, Kingsport. Several nieces and nephews also
survive.
The funeral service for Mamie Ruth Elliott will be conducted at 8 p.m.
Wednesday, February 11, 2004 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy
Funeral Home with Rev. Clate Briggs officiating. The graveside service
and burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004 in
the Nave Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home
from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Everyone will meet at
the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Thursday. Online condolences may be sent to
