Graveside services will be held at 5 PM today at Screven Memorial Park Cemetery with the Revs Lamar Holley and William G. Brown officiating.
Mr. Clifton was a native of Screven County, a World War II veteran and a member of the Waynesboro First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Elva C. Mills, Millen and Helen C. Smith, Columbia; two sons, Homer W. Clifton, Jr., Sylvania, and Robert H. Clifton, Athens; six sisters, Mary C. Bazemore, Eunice C. Griner, Velma Clifton, Annette Hill, Sylvania, Jane Hague, Stenceport, NY and Jean Damian, Watkinsville, Ga; and one brother Ed Clifton of Sylvania.
