W. F. WORSHAM, 58, OF SHANNON DIES;
FUNERAL TOMORROW

W. F. Worsham, 58, of Shannon, died in a Rome hospital at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday following an illness of several months.

He was born in Lyerly July 1, 1896, son of the late Robert Lee and Nettie Strange Worsham. He was a former employe of Pepperell Manufacturing Company and prior to ill health was employed for two years by Brighton Mills. Mr. Worsham was preceded in death his wife, the former Annie Laura Barton, April 26, 1948, his mother on June 5, 1944, and father, February 14, 1948.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Edna Truitt, of Shannon; three sons, Thomas David and William Samuel, of Shannon, and Robert Lee Worsham, of Rome; one step-son, Emmett B. Lemming, of Rome; two brothers, R. E., Rome, and Sgt. Guy T. Worsham, U. S. Air Force; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Cannon, Anniston, Ala., Mrs. Lula Mae Warnock, Trion; two grandchildren, Agnes Lavonne Worsham, Shannon, and Sheila D. Worsham, Rome. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. P.F. Hawkins and the Rev. Hiram Gayton officiating. Interment will be in Fish Creek Cemetery.

The body will be carried to the residence this afternoon to lie in state until time for service. Pallbearers are requested to meet there at 12:45 p.m. They are: Jess Burch, Curtis Rochester, John and Leonard Yarbrough, J.D. Barton and Ernest Burch.
