Vanderford Benefit -
Police and Firemen Play Ball at Vinton Park Sunday -
A game of baseball between the cracks of the police and fire departments will be played next Sunday at Vinton park, the proceeds of which will be donated to Lieutenant Vanderford of the Omaha fire department, who, for many weeks, has been near death's door with an aggravated case of cancer of the stomach. Lieutenant Vanderford, who is a brother of Patrol Driver Joe Vanderford of the police department, is in term of service one of the oldest firemen in the city and has many friends. Those who have the benefit in charge are preparing for a large outpouring of the friends of the lieutenant.
