Catherine E. Williams, 87, formerly of Mt. Pocono, died Sunday evening, Nov. 13 at Barnes-Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility in Susquehanna. She was the wife of Thomas G. Williams, Jr.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Francis R. Sr. and Elizabeth (Labby) Brisson. She graduated from Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth, N.J.
Before her retirement, she was a credit investigator for the United Counties Trust Co.
She is survived by a son, Pastor John L. Martin of Spring Hills, Fla.; three daughters, Elizabeth Bishof of Atlantic Highlands, N.J., Grace Guiro of Whiting, N.J., and Kathleen Young of Susquehanna; two brothers, Francis Brisson, Jr. of Harligen, Tex., and Charles Brisson of Naples, Fla.; two sisters, Sister Elizabeth Francis of Boonton, N.J., and Monica Ruff of Tewksbury, Mass.; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Robert, James, and John Brisson; and a daughter, Maureen Murphy.
Pastor John L. Martin of Spring Hills, Fla. will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at the Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 & 390 in Paradise Valley. Interment will follow at Keokee Chapel Cemetery.
