He was born in the town of Hebron June 17, 1865, and lived in this vicinity almost all his life. He married Martha Medick at Jefferson, Feb. 22, 1896.
Surviving are his wife; five sons, Clarence of Rome, Fred Jr., of Fort Atkinson, Henry of Chicago, Louis and Edward Gleiter at home; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Stoker, La Grange, Ill, Mrs. Clayton Eales and Mrs. John Fuerbringer, both of Jefferson; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Gleiter, Jefferson, Mrs. Thomas Froeba of Loyal, Wis., and Mrs. Julia Gleiter of Alma, Wis.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Hildebrandt Funeral Home. The Rev. C. F. Schneider will officiate, and burial will be in Union Cemetery.
