Obituary- Mrs. Una slemp Nissen daughter of James V. and sophia Mcginnis slemp passed away at a st joseph hospital Monday evening , March 12 at 11:20 o'clock after an illness of 1 month. She was born april 1 1892 and was aged 30 years, eleven months, and twelve days. She married John Nissen of Ainsworth Nebraska February 20, 1919 and to this union were born 2 sons and 1 daughter. 1 son and the daughter having passed away before the young mother.
She leaves to mourn her loss a little son 2 years old, her aged father, 4 sisters: Mrs. Billy thompson, Mrs. Earl Makings , Mrs. Conley Bennington, and Mrs. Lennie Locke, and one brother Richard Slemp. As well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home of her father. J.V. Slemp , the home were she spent her childhood and youth. The funeral was preached by Rev. W. W. Laughlin at 2 o'clock , Thursday afternoon and burial at bush cemetery . The family have the sincere sympathy of the whole community to sorrow.
