Emmie Pauline Dryden Aldridge, 67 (26 Sep 1928), of Route 2 Nahunta, died Saturday night (3 Aug 1996) at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross following a brief illness.

A native of Brantley County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin N. Dryden and Mary Elizabeth Mercer Dryden. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Isham Leroy Aldridge. She was a homemaker and member of Ivory Palace Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Arlene DePratter of Brunswick and Linda Sapp of Blackshear; three sons, Dewaine Aldridge and Bobby Aldridge, both of Nahunta, and Gary Aldridge of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, from Ivory Palace Church with Rev. Hugh Arnold and Rev. Scott Bailey officiating. Interment followed in High Bluff Cemetery near Hoboken.

Music was by Joe Bass who sang, "At Jesus' Feet," and Mary Lyons who sang, "Precious Memories," and Amazing Grace."
Pallbearers were C.W. Riggins, Gerald Thrift, Jimmy Flowers, Jeremy DePratter, Stephen Aldridge, Matthew Aldridge, John Bennett and Mike Cobb.

Chambless Funeral Home of Nahunta was in charge of arrangements.
