Funeral Liturgy celebrating Margaret's life will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the Graceland/
Fairlawn Funeral Home, conducted by Father Joseph Malloy. Visitation will be from Noon until the services. Interment with the "Flight Home" Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials in remembrance of Margaret may be directed towards any Hospice Program.
Margaret was born on October 29, 1929 in Lankenshire, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late John Francis and Elizabeth (Patterson) Butler. A longtime resident of Decatur, Margaret worked as an accountant for the State of Illinois, prior to her retirement. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and was a member of the American Business Women�s Association.
Margaret is survived by her loving and caring family; daughters, Elizabeth "Ivy" Balding and Cynthia Blaum both of Traverse City; brother Charles (Donna) Butler; five grandchildren, Heather (Thomas) Ehardt, Heidi Sotzen, Amanda (Tyler) Veliquette, Ashley Blaum and Tyler Blaum, four great grandchildren, Henry Ehardt, Rebecca Ehardt, Carter Veliquette and Jessica Gordon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Balding and her brothers, John and Harry Butler.
