Born Tuesday, September 29, 1926 in Crowville, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Thomas B. Wilson, and the late Lula Bell (Lowe) Wilson.
Mrs. Teddlie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, who was beloved by all who knew her.
She was a devoted member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church and taught Sunday School there for 44 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Teddlie, three brothers, James L., Thomas J., and O. D. Wilson, and three sisters, Katie Lee Stapleton, Mary LeBaron, and Lessie Belle Cades.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Charles Benton Teddlie and wife Susan Kochan Teddlie; granddaughter, Anna Katherine "Kate" Teddlie; grandson, Timothy Ray Teddlie; sister-in-law Lena Mae Stapleton Wilson; niece, Margie Owens; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in the Southern Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Tarver officiating. Interment will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery,
The family will receive friends at Southern Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
