Brenda K. Fling, Ph.D., 59, of Fremont and formerly of Fostoria, passed away Monday, June 14, 2004, at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont.
She was born Dec. 13, 1944, in Albemarle, N.C., to the late Gerald W. and Lola (Hartsell) Fling.
Dr. Fling was a professor of rehabilitation counseling at Edinboro University, Edinboro, Pa.
She was also an amateur writer of short stories.
A 1962 graduate of Fostoria High, she earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Bowling Green State University and her Doctorate from Ohio University.
Brenda was a kind, open hearted and generous person who always made herself available to others.
