Services for Mrs. Nellie Kemp Best, 71, of Route 4, Brentwood were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 19 (1970) at Franklin Memorial Chapel with burial in National Cemetery, Nashville. Mrs. Best died Saturday afternoon in a Franklin hospital following a short illness. A native of Smith County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Octavia Sircy McCall. She was a Methodist. Survivors include two sons, Harris Dale Kemp, Brentwood, and Glenn Allen Kemp, Gallatin; a brother, Hugh McCall, Carthage; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Note: Nellie married first on 18 Mar 1914 to Carsie Allen Kemp. He died in 1956.
