DALLAS — Charlie Raymond Arrowood, 92, formerly of 204 E. Main St., died Jan. 3, 2003, at Mecklenburg Health Care Center in Charlotte.
He was a native of Cocke County, Tenn., son of the late Cling and Maria Lee Arrowood.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 3 p.m. Sunday, Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church cemetery
VISITATION: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday, McLean Funeral Directors, Gastonia
Mr. Arrowood was a lifelong member of Dallas Church of God where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and the Men's Sunday School Class, and also served as a Deacon. He was employed at the Rex Mill in Ranlo for over 20 years before retiring from Robinson Yarns in Dallas. After retiring, he enjoyed sharpening saws, building swings, and running his sandwich shop, "Charlie's Sandwich Shop." A Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 70 years, Estelle Kimbrell Arrowood; daughters and sons-in-law, Shelbie A. and Gary Childress of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Geri A. and Dennis Burrell of Stanley, N.C.; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren
