"The LaFayette Sun" - July 23, 2003:

Mrs. Sara Myrt Burton, 91, of LaFayette, died Friday, July 18, 2003 at her residence.
Graveside services were held July 20 at LaFayette City Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Rev. Charles Whitson officiating.
Survivors include one daughter JoAnn (Ray) Heath, LaFayette; two sons, Buddy (Lynda) Burton and Ben (Sylva) Burton, both of LaFayette and one sister, May McKinney, LaFayette; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Burton was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Burton.
Jeff Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
