COLUMBIA - Graveside services for Jack G. Acree, 82, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Cedardale Cemetery, Mullins, SC. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is in charge.
Mr. Acree, widower of Elinor Acree, died Friday, May 6, 2005. Born August 21, 1922 in Mullins, SC, he was the son of the late Frank and Emma Johnston Acree.
Mr. Acree was a WW II Veteran and a retired employee of Seaboard Coastline Railroad, he was graduated from the University of South Carolina and Southern Law University.
He is survived by his children, Alexander C. Acree and wife, Brenda of Greenville, SC, Lucy Acree Haynes and husband, Robert of Columbia, SC, Christopher Scott Acree and wife, Tara of Columbia, SC; brother, Dr. Page Acree of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Megan, Robert, Elise, Alex, Zack, Emily, Pendleton; step-grandchildren, Logan and Chandler.
He is preceded in death by his son, Ed Acree.
