Mary A. Bishop, 86, a resident of the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit and formerly of Hustontown, PA passed away Wednesday, July 11th, 2012 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.
Mary was born in Clear Ridge, PA on November 1, 1925, the daughter of the late Ira Lloyd and Janet Edna (Kesselring) Fleming. She was the widow of H. Robert Bishop whom she married on November 6, 1941 and he passed away on October 6, 1989.
She was of the Protestant faith, worked for the U-Wanna Wash Frock sewing factory in Ft. Loudon, PA for twenty-one and a half years before going to Dallco Industries in Hustontown, PA for eighteen years upon retiring.
Mrs. Bishop is survived by Daughter Linda M. (wife of Dick) Truax of Hustontown, PA, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by son Ronald (Jake) Bishop, sister Gladys Ramsey, brothers Wayne and Elton Fleming.
Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 16th, 2012 with Pastor Richard Bernhard officiating.
Interment at Hustontown Cemetery, Hustontown, PA.
There will be visitation on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home.
