Robert Spurgeon Thayer - 66, of Sutton, died Thursday in a Weston hospital after a long illness.
He was a retired miner.
Surviving are four sisters. Mrs. Allie Layfield, Mrs. Ellie Barker and Mrs. Ruth Pugh, all of Clarksburg, and Mrs. Clara Prince of Akron, OH; three half-brothers, Paul, Everett and James, addresses unknown; a half-sister, Mrs. Wanda Seftick address unknown; and his stepmother, Mrs. Nora Thayer of Sutton.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Stockert Funeral Home at Flatwoods, Braxton County, by the Rev. Basil Bright and burial will be in Flatwoods Cemetery.
