Norman H. Nehring, age 78, entered into eternal rest at the Aurora BayCare Hospital.

"Norm was born 5 March 1928, in Sheboygan County to the late Julian & Selma (Lorier) Nehring; he was the oldest of their five children and has been a lifelong area resident. Norm was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers, class of 1946.

"Muff", as he was known to friends & family, married Josephine Kowalski on 1 October 1949, at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Tisch Mills.

"He owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Gibson for many years. He also drove school bus for 16 years.

"Norm was a member of Saint Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, Tisch Mills site, where he was member of the Holy Name Society. He sang for many years in the men's church choir. He was also a member of the NFO where he held various offices, and a member of the Mishicot-Tisch Mills Knights of Columbus Council 4807 where he currently was serving as Deputy Grand Knight.

"Muff" enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes, bowling, playing cards, dancing, and listening to polka music, and following his grandchildren in their sporting events.

"He is survived by his wife: Josie; one daughter and son-in-law: Sally and Frank "Joe" Jilot, of Sturgeon Bay; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Thomas and Caira Nehring, of Mishicot; Daniel Nehring, at home; Ronald and Theresa Nehring, of Mishicot; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roland and Betsy Nehring, of Phoenix, Harold and Barbara Nehring, of Land 'O Lakes; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Vicky DeBauche, of Two Rivers, Joseph and Virginia Kowalski, of Manitowoc; and nieces and nephews.

"In addition to his parents, Norm was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Teniente Santiago."
