JOSEPH BERANEK

Joseph A. Beranek, 68, lifetime farmer in the Town of Franklin, Kewaunee County, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon at home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. A nephew, the Rev. Mark Stangel, S.D.S., will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Beranek was born Jan. 2, 1902, on the homestead farm, a son of the late Anton and Josephine Roidt Beranek. He attended the agricultural short course at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He also was widely known in the area for his hobby of wood carving. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary Church.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Anna Stangel of Tisch Mills, and three nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
