NINE YEAR OLD LAD DROPS DEAD, BESIDE COFFIN

Young Lad, Overcome at Sight of Dead Uncle, Late Soldier Boy, Succumbs at Bolt Tuesday

Overcome at the sight of the remains of his uncle, the late Joseph Koukalik, formerly of this city, who died at a Maryland training camp, and [whose] remains were taken to Bolt, Kewaunee county for burial, the nine year old son of John Koukalik was stricken with heart failure at the home of his father on Tuesday and died in a few minutes. The sudden death of the young lad added more sorrow to the Koukalik home.

Both coffins were placed side by side in the same room at the John Koukalik home. Burial of Joseph Koukalik, formerly employed at the Baetke meat market in this city, who left several months ago for camp, took place yesterday. The remains arrived from Denmark on Tuesday, having been shipped by rail as far as Denmark and then overland to Bolt, Kewaunee,a few miles north of Tisch Mills. The body was taken to the home of the brother, John Koukalik, and the
sight of the body so affected the 9 year old son of Mr. Koukalik that he was stricken with heart failure and died. The funeral of the lad will take place there today.
