Obituary: Taken suddenly ill at his home in the town of Two Creeks, Charles Conty, 73, a resident of the township for more than a half a century, died in his farm home early Friday morning. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills, the Rev. Joseph Kalisek officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.


Charles Conter was born in Milwaukee in 1879, a son of the late Theodore and Anna Sedmihradsky Conter. When he was a boy, the family brought him to a farm in the town of Two Creeks, where he has resided since. In 1911 he married Anna Krofta at Tisch Mills.


Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Grimm of Two Rivers, a son Carl of the town of Two Creeks, and a brother, Theodore Conter ,of Milwaukee. There are four grandchildren.

For many years he was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary Church.


Friends may call at the Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from Sunday noon until the time of services. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Sunday.
